Many times, a natural community or forest is subject to external factors and human influence. We are interested in restoring natural communities in large ecosystems or by establishing small mini forest. It is understanding the relationship the natural community has to its surroundings, both historically and currently that allows us to design and help reshape forests that are being lost in a changing climate and by introduction of non-native invasive species.
We work on all scales to help you achieve your goals: New England cottontail habitat restoration (shrublands), young forest for migratory birds, reestablishment of tree species that have gone missing from your ecosystem or to increase biodiversity, and managing for ecosystems, like oak forests, that cannot regenerate themselves due to environmental and cultural changes.
